Acceptable Use
Last updated: 17 September 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy explains how you may — and may not — use Goutipedia. It sits alongside the Terms of Service. Violations may result in blocked requests, ignored submissions, or other protective measures.
Intended use
You may use Goutipedia to search and read educational information about foods and drinks in the context of gout, and to suggest new items or feedback in good faith.
The Site is for learning and reference. It is not a place to obtain personal medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment instructions.
Health and professional care
You agree that you will not treat Site content as a substitute for care from a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional.
If you have gout or another health condition, discuss diet and treatment with a licensed clinician who can consider your full situation. You are responsible for your own health decisions.
Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Submit spam, nonsense, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or illegal content in suggestions or feedback.
- Try to manipulate catalog classifications, overwhelm research or feedback endpoints, or otherwise game automated review.
- Submit personal health records, other people’s private information, or sensitive data you should not share.
- Attempt to disrupt, scrape in a way that harms availability, reverse engineer protective measures, or bypass rate limits or bot checks.
- Use the Site to promote scams, unsafe medical products, or content that encourages self-harm or illegal activity.
- Misrepresent the Site’s content as professional medical advice when sharing it with others.
Automated access
Light, respectful automated access for indexing or personal research may be tolerated when it does not degrade the service. Aggressive scraping, credential stuffing, or load that interferes with normal use is not allowed.
Enforcement
We may refuse, delete, or ignore submissions, throttle or block traffic, and take other steps we reasonably consider necessary to protect the Site and its users. We are not obligated to monitor every submission, but we may review content when investigating abuse.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the revised rules.
